"Just a babysitter"
Work was so crazy today. We had a full house today, and that's pretty rare, but boy can I say crazy. It was like a mad house, 9 babies with two teachers is a very big job. People don't understand how difficult our job is, and some people just think were babysitters, but they are sadly mistaken. When you have 9 crying babies all under the age of 16 months things aren't that easy when their pooping, screaming, sick, throwing up etc. Don't get me wrong I love my job and my kids, but i don't think that we get paid enough for all the hard work and time it takes to take care of these kids. When parents can take care of 9 babies and just two of them, get paid close to nothing, work 40 hours a week, go to school full time, and think it's still easy then that's when they can call me "just a baby-sitter."

I totally understand. Its just like being a mom. It never ends, the pay is crapy but it is rewarding when the babies stop crying and smile and giggle. That makes it all seem worth it. Being a caregiver can sometimes (most of the time) be a thankless job. But you are doing more than you know by teaching, caring and loving those babies. I think its great that someone is out there giving the proper care to your baby when you are not able to be home with them. Keep up the good work!
